International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA)
founded in 1951, is one of the world’s oldest and largest student-run organizations. It represents, connects and engages every day with an inspiring and engaging network of 1.3 million medical students from around 130 national members organizations in 130 countries around the globe.
Youth Health Organization (YHO)
Established in 2011 as the Alcohol Policy Youth Network (APYN), in 2018 renamed to YHO and expand the areas of work to non-communicable diseases, mental and environmental health.
YHO teaches, trains, connects and financially supports youth from different backgrounds to actively participate in prevention programmes, research, policy and leadership on Youth Health throughout European Region.
International Association of Dental Students (IADS)
Founded in 1951 in Copenhagen and headquartered at the FDI World Dental Federation in Geneva, represents over 200,000 dental students across 60 countries. Dedicated to advancing dental education and scientific excellence, IADS fosters global collaboration through international projects, events, and partnerships with leading health organizations.

Offers a wide range of elective, international, practical, educational exchange programs of varying duration for medical professionals (doctors, residents, nurses, laboratory specialists, etc.) and senior medical students.
BIL is proud to be the representative of Armenia in the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), serving as the only National Member Organization (NMO) of Armenia, connecting medical students to the biggest medical students' network. IFMSA provides Armenian healthcare students with a unique platform to engage in international medical projects, discussions, and exchanges that contribute to the advancement of healthcare worldwide.
Our members actively participate in IFMSA’s General Assemblies, including the EuroRegMe (European Regional Meeting), March and August Meetings, where they collaborate with peers from over 130 countries, addressing key challenges of medical students. Through these events, and IFMSA Standing Committees BIL fosters the exchange of ideas, cultures, and innovative solutions.
Exchanges: Our students have the opportunity to experience medicine in different cultural and healthcare settings through IFMSA’s professional and research exchange programs in medical centers around the globe. Each "exchange" lasts 4-8 weeks (1-2 months).
International Events: BIL actively participates in IFMSA’s subregional events, where students from around the world and regions collaborate on initiatives to tackle global health challenges, contribute to policymaking, and develop solutions that make an impact.
Global Advocacy: Through IFMSA, our students have a voice in global healthcare conversations, engaging with international health organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO), addressing specific issues of Armenian youth.
